Amy & Brian Coconut Juice Review… Yes, One More Coconut Water Review!

…I will say that the Amy & Brian Coconut Water With Pulp was my favorite! I really liked having chunks of coconut meat in my drink (wow that sounds weird as I type it – it felt very tropical and it just gave the coconut water a little extra kick for me.

The winner hands down

I tried the one with pulp, without pulp and with lime. I loved them all but especially loved the one with pulp. Coconut “juice” with pulp? Sweet!! It adds a “soothing” coconut flavor. It allows you to imagine you are actually drinking from a young coconut! I had no idea this brand existed until the company tweeted me and asked if I would write an honest review.

This is also the cheapest of all the brands. How about that? The best brand will hurt your wallet the least. I am all about saving money as you know from my primeal posts.

Coconut Water

Man, Amy and Brian Coconut Juice just tastes the best. I love it with or without pulp and those cans get icy cold in the fridge.

Tasting notes
While this is labeled coconut “juice” and not “water”, they’re the same exact thing. But there’s something extraordinary about this sweet concoction that pleased our tasters more than any other brand. It has notes of burnt caramel, and goes down smooth. And it’s the cheapest of the bunch. Take that, Krist Novoselic!

Very Scientific Conclusion
The difference in taste from one coconut brand to the other is vast, and much of it depends on the countries of origin of the coconuts (Thailand’s are sweeter than Brazil’s). The higher cost of some of the brands had no influence on how good they were — the best was also the cheapest. Hypothesis refuted! Coconut waters for everyone!

Thrillist Taste-Test

This product is a HIT!

Clearly the big trend next year is going to be adding all kinds of ingredients to coconut water. This one is just young coconut water with lime juice, nothing more. A “young” coconut has a much thinner shell with almost no meat and completely filled with coconut water – which makes it preferable for the beverage. This 16 ounce can is just over 100 calories and has 28 grams of sugars. The flavor combination just doesn’t seem to work for me. The lime seems to be fighting the coconut and neither one is winning.

Dr. Phoenyx Approved: Top 4 Coconut Water Picks

Amy & Brian’s is available with or without pulp, and I enjoy the taste of both. Also, while researching this brand of coconut water, I consistently came across positive reviews praising how “natural” and “light” this coconut water tasted.

Most Refreshing: Amy & Brian’s Coconut Juice

Amy & Brian’s coconut water has the characteristic sweet nutty flavor of Thai coconut varieties, though not quite as sweet or nutty as Harmless Harvest. It’s a very refreshing can that’s also available in pulpy varieties with little tender nubs of coconut floating around.
